TOO Quiet

Allison was being very quiet while I was fixing dinner tonight. Trust that she enjoyed putting the stickers on herself more than pulling each one out of her hair.

Kyle's BIG jump

The mom's in the stands whisper "Where are they taking them?" as the toddlers are marching with their swim belts on toward the 10' waters. The diving boards? Shouldn't floating or holding your breathe under water come first? Evidently not. It was a moment of motherhood where you want SO badly to rescue him from the moment. Kyle was terrified but with a little help he made the leap and was beaming with pride. A lesson to remember-- don't step in too quickly-- the lesson and result were so big for him.

Flying Kites

It was a beautiful day in early April and a definite moment to remember. Remembering the pure joy Kyle had as he realized he was flying his kite all by himself. And, Allison thinking she was just as big. It is these moments to remember when rinsing poop-filled pants out in the toilet or picking up stray spaghetti strands off the kitchen floor.

Thought I'd try this out. I had a friend who recently started this site and it was VERY easy to get started. Kyle and I are up and the sleepy head Allison is still in bed. It was a late bedtime last night after small group. We are enjoying these beautiful days of sunshine. Kyle likes to ride his bike. He wasn't too interested until little sis wanted to do it and then his motivation rose GREATLY. So, he's a "good biker" as he says. We need to get Allison a bike now to keep up- not sure her little legs would even reach though. I'll try to post some pics sometime.
